Nafiseh Fathollahzadeh

Nafiseh Fathollahzadeh studied visual communication in Alzahra university of Tehran which was followed by Master of photography and research in Folkwang university of arts in Essen, Germany. Her work oscillates between different approaches to documentary and staged photography with a focus on urban landscape, research-oriented photographic studies on urban space, human and landscape relations, socio-spatial structures of peripheries and inclusion & exclusion in the urban space. Her recent works like “Momentography of a failure” project has been dealing with post-photography, collaborative practice in photography and the forms of extended authorship in digital media. Her work investigate in the role of citizen photojournalism, appropriation of space through photography and the relation between collective and individual memories of a Space.
